This award is for the organisation that has made a real difference to peoples’ lives by doing something more e.g. developing a new affordable housing product for first time buyers, providing affordable home ownership housing solutions for older people, those with long term disabilities (HOLD) or learning difficulties, over 55’s, extra-care, rural affordable housing etc. It could also mean launching a new product into the affordable housing sector, delivering environmentally sustainable homes or finding an innovative solution that has increased the profile of the sector by reaching a new audience.
Judges will be looking for submissions which have successfully met some or all of the criteria below:
- Demonstrate that your organisation works within a specialist area or provides unique innovative housing solutions.
- Evidence how you have delivered transformational change in a specific area e.g. rural exception site, Older Persons Shared Ownership (OPSO) etc.
- Describe how a new product or service to the affordable housing sector evidences the organisation as being a housing pioneer.
- Demonstrate how your organisation has made a real difference to the community by building a better future.
- Demonstrate innovation in supporting people entering into home ownership.
- Demonstrate good partnership with stakeholders i.e. local authority, other housing partners.
