For any large scheme, getting the planning phase right is essential. But who's really excelled this year?

This award is for a scheme that has gained planning permission, with 30 units or more. The scheme can be mixed tenure, but must include an element of home ownership and with at least 30% of homes being affordable.

Don't forget to include the following in your entry:

  • A minimum of eight high-res images of the project/scheme (internal and external)
  • Architect's drawings
  • Floor plan(s)
  • Area and site location maps
  • Evidence of planning permission (entries must have received resolution to grant planning permission at a minimum)
  • Company logo/s
  • Postcode

Judges will be looking for entries that have met at least three of the following criteria:

  • Describe and evidence what consultation with the local community has taken place to ensure that the scheme has considered the local environment.
  • Demonstrate how the development meets the needs of the local market (price entry points, affordability data etc.), local strategy requirements and has responded to demand.
  • Evidence how any specific challenges or local considerations were taken into account when gaining planning permission.
  • Demonstrate how the scheme shows a strong commitment to environmental sustainability;
    • tell us about your environmental strategy and what you’ve achieved
    • tell us how you’ve made homes affordable at the point of sale and what measures (if any) you’ve taken to minimise future costs
  • Demonstrate how the design features make the most of the site potential as well as showing sensitivity to intimate neighbourhoods and surrounding area.
