This award recognises the contribution to affordable home ownership on smaller developments.

The scheme can be a standalone ownership scheme or mixed tenure, but must be at least 30% affordable home ownership, and include no more than 30 units.

Don't forget to include the following in your entry:

  • A brief summary of the scheme setting out headline details including numbers/types of homes and the tenure mix
  • A minimum of eight high-res images of the project/scheme (internal and external)
  • Floor plan(s)
  • Area and site location maps
  • Company logo/s
  • Postcode

The judges will be looking for

Developments that have successfully met some or all of the criteria below, demonstrating:

  • How the development met the needs of the local area and demand.
  • How the design made the most of the site's potential, and showed sensitivity to the neighbourhood and surrounding area.
  • How any specific challenges or local considerations were taken into account during development.
  • Innovation to support people into home ownership and how any financial modelling difficulties were overcome to create the best levels of affordability.
  • Evidence of performance against the original scheme objectives, including sustainability targets; success of partnership working with stakeholders; how the development met the needs of the local market and sales success, with clear metrics.
  • Customer satisfaction with the sales and after-sales process, with clear metrics.

Entries are likely to be awarded higher marks where the affordable home contribution is significant.
